PokerStars Heads to Eastern and Central Europe
Apr 4th, 2011 by Samuel

The most recent and prestigious live tour joining the online poker site’s family is being dubbed the Eureka Poker Tour and it will be featuring the big game tournament experience at very reasonable buy-ins in some familiar locales and a few new ones. UB Raise is a good loyalty program that can keep the players at UB website.

The first season will see stops in Slovenia, Prague, Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania before returning to the Czech capital in December for the Prague leg of the European Poker Tour. In the area of customer support, once again this UB review finds that UB has become much better at it in recent years.

The very first event is set to run at the Card Casino in Prague Mar. 16-20 and will include an €800 Main event and a full schedule of other side events.

Each of the Eureka Poker Tour’s €800 Main events will carry on for four days, with two starting days, a 400-500 player cap and prize pools expected to exceed €250,000.

Online satellites began on PokerStars Jan. 19.

Jason Mercier Outlasts Impressive Field in WCOOP
Apr 4th, 2011 by Samuel

Continuing his hot streak in the live and online poker tournament world, Team PokerStars pro Jason Mercier outlasted a massive field in the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) Event #42, $1,000 buy-in NLHE, to claim the title and its $435,000 payout. If you want to know how UB Poker now views the world, all you have to do is look at their new motto “raise, stack, own” .

The two-day tournament saw a stupendous crowd of 3,122 players, which created the $3 Million Guarantee that PokerStars pot. The UB promotional code is the code use during signup in order to get a bonus.

As Event #42 reached the final table, Mercier – who is in London for the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe tournament schedule – continued to make inroads towards the championship.

Also in London for the WSOPE was Chad Brown; looked to challenge for the WCOOP bracelet, alongside DoylesRoom Brunson 10 member Dani “ansky” Stern. Brown’s attempt to win the title ended with his ninth place finish. Although his massive chip lead had vanished by the time the final seven were in action, Mercier persisted to take the battle to his opponents.

The final table ended up as such: 1st – JasonMercier (United States) $435,862.07, 2nd – osten (United States) $317,435.13 and 3rd – loooser17 (Israel) $367,500.80.
